Funding the Project

In 2020, Fermoy GAA set forth on an ambitious journey to enhance our club facilities, marking a transformative period in our history. With our new all-weather pitch now open, we are thrilled to watch our dreams materialise, ushering in a new era for the club.

As we approach the culmination of our fundraising efforts, we proudly launch the"#TheDriveForTheLast10%" —our drive to secure the last 10% of funding needed to complete our project. We recognise the significance of asking for a donation of €1,000 and make this request with both gravity and heartfelt sincerity. This final push is vital to achieve our collective vision.

These facilities are more than just infrastructure; they are a testament to the strength and unity of our members, friends, and supporters. It is your unwavering support that turns these plans into a lasting legacy. Together, we can complete this state-of-the-art facility, ensuring it serves and inspires our community for many generations to come.

Goal: Raise €300,000 to complete the project.

All benefactors will be honoured by having their name inscribed on our prominently displayed patrons board, in the new development.

Through your contribution to the club, you will be helping to secure the future of the club and the community. Your support will allow the club to continue to provide a place for people to play and enjoy the sport they love. This scheme also allows us to claim back your contribution of Tax from the hard earned money you have donated. Meaning the contribution you make to the club is greater than the amount you donate. The explanation of this is outlined in the Donation Scheme section.

Starting your journey with us is simple. There are just three options.

Option 1 - Online Payment:

Click the Sign Up button below. Sign Up and fill in the form. Select a payment plan that suits you. You will be brought to a checkout page to lock the payment in. Once the subscription is confirmed, you will be billed the agreed amount at every subscription period until €1,000 is reached. Once it is reached, the subscription will end and you will receive an email to confirm this.

Option 2 - Standing Order:

If you wish to set up a standing order, please download the form below and fill it in. This must be filled in with Wet Ink, so please scan it and email it to donations@fermoygaa.ie.

Option 3 - Complete Donation Form

If you wish to be contacted by committee member, please download the form below and fill it in and email it to donations@fermoygaa.ie.

We are asking each member or friend involved in, or with an affinity to, the club to donate €1,000 towards the development project. Under the Charitable Donation Scheme, your donation can have an even greater impact at no extra cost to you. Here's how it works:

When you donate €1,000, the club can claim an additional tax relief of 31% on your donation from the Revenue Commissioners. This means your donation is grossed up, significantly increasing its value to the club.

Example: Your €1,000 donation is considered 69% of the total value (after tax). By dividing €1,000 by 69%, the grossed-up amount is approximately €1,449.28. The club can then claim the difference of €449.28 (which is 31% of the grossed-up amount) from the Revenue Commissioners. So, your €1,000 donation is actually worth €1,449.28 to the club.

This additional funding greatly enhances our ability to support the development project, all thanks to your generosity and the Charitable Donation Scheme.

If you are eligible for Tax relief. Just below this is a link to the tax relief form. This must be filled in with Wet Ink, so please scan it and email it to donations@fermoygaa.ie

Please Contact A Committee Member if you are unsure about whether or not you qualify for the tax relief.

An important point to note is that one of the rules of the tax rebate scheme that revenue offers is that no prize incentive can be offered; if for example, we were to run a raffle in conjunction with this donation fundraiser, we would lose up to 67% of the value of each donation.
